We are currently conducting research into the effectiveness of a 6 week course of physiotherapy treatment on conditions affecting the neck and jaw. At your initial assessment, our Administration team may ask you to sign a consent form and complete two surveys regarding your pain. Following your appointment, once you have been assessed, your Physiotherapist will then ask you to complete another 1 to 2 surveys depending on your condition (these will be emailed to you). 6 weeks following your initial assessment, we will re-email you the surveys to gauge the difference after a treatment course. There is also an option to review at 3 & 6 months. These surveys all take less than 2 minutes each to complete and this research is the first of its kind in the world.
Please note, you do not have to be a part of this research and can also opt out at any point. Please let the Administration staff know if you do not wish to participate. However, your interest in being a part of the study is greatly appreciated by us and goes a long way in helping our clinic reach our goal of generating a publishable paper detailing the change in pain levels and range of motion after a 6 week treatment period. See our Research page for more information.

If you wish to be treated under the DVA Scheme you can book appointments between 10.30am and 2.00pm with any of our Associate Physiotherapists at either our Nundah or Coorparoo Clinic. Treatment by Scott Cook or Nigel Smith will require a full consultation fee to be paid by the patient. Please see our Reception staff for a full copy of our policy.
As a courtesy we send an SMS reminder the day before your appointment. This is a reminder, not a diary note. We ask that patients take responsibility for remembering appointments. DO NOT REPLY TO OUR SMS, WE DO NOT RECEIVE REPLIES. If you need to change your appointment, we ask that you please call our office so that we can organise this for you.
If you are unable to keep your appointment we require 24 hours notice. Please call the day before or leave a message on our answering machine before 7.00am on the day. Failure to provide notice will attract a $60 cancellation fee.
