Headache, Neck & Jaw Conditions We Treat

Our Brisbane clinics specialise in the treatment of head, neck and jaw conditions, many of which are notoriously difficult to treat. If you’re experiencing symptoms of any of the following problems, our team has the expertise and training to help.

At The Headache, Neck & Jaw Clinic, our skilled clinicians will identify exactly what is causing your headache. The pain you actually feel in your face, eyes, jaw or temple (to name a few spots) is the site of the pain, and more often than not, the source of the pain lies elsewhere.

A migraine is a headache that can cause severe head pain, typically more on one side of the head.  It is often associated with light and sound sensitivity, nausea, vomiting, and throbbing.  We have specific training in the assessment and treatment of migraines and treat the source of these symptoms.

Jaw and Orofacial Pain

At The Headache, Neck & Jaw Clinic, we understand jaw pain is multifactorial, and can assess whether the TMJs are dysfunctional, if the pain is due to external muscular issues, neural sensitivity, a neck problem, or in most cases a combination.

Neck Pain and Trauma

Trauma can affect your life when you least expect it. Luckily, our Physiotherapists are here to take the guesswork away from your recovery. We are trained to assess and treat clients with all combinations of traumatic injuries of the neck and jaw, and know when you may need further investigations management.

Whiplash and Nerve Pain

Whiplash is a neck injury that can occur when your head quickly moves backward and then forward (similar to the motion of someone cracking a whip). The main focus for all of our clinics is Headache, Neck and Jaw conditions, with over 80% of our client base being treated for these conditions.

Vertigo & Dizziness

Our physiotherapists are trained to assess and treat dysfunction of the vestibular system and your balance. You don't need a referral and our clinicians also screen for more serious cases of vertigo such as Meniere's Disease or vestibular neuritis.

Tinnitus is the perception of sounds such as ringing in the ears or head. It can be in one ear or both. The causes of tinnitus are not well known but is generally accepted as a symptom of ear malfunction.

Singing / Vocal Therapy

Vocal Therapy is a physiotherapy treatment targeted at the structures in and around the throat and larynx.  Vocalists with head, neck or jaw dysfunction benefit from this specific treatment.

Covid-19 Update 😷

From the 17th December 2021 our clinics will require patients aged 16 years and older to present their vaccination status to admin staff upon arrival. Fully vaccinated patients will continue to be given treatment as normal.

Unvaccinated patients will only be considered on a case-by-case basis. An unvaccinated patient is anyone that has not had the double dose of vaccination.  Management reserves the right to refuse treatment to unvaccinated patients. If treatment is granted additional measures will be required in order for you to receive treatment. This will include mask wearing in the first instance and may include the provision of a negative PCR test taken within 48 hours prior to the appointment.

Please let us know in advance of your appointment if you are unvaccinated so we can confirm the measures required for you to attend.

We also encourage patients to limit their time in the clinic waiting room prior to their appointment, therefore if you arrive more than 10 minutes before your appointment, we ask you to wait outside the clinic (preferably in your car). This is to minimise contact time for patients and staff inside the clinic at all times.

These measures will continue to be reviewed as required. In the meantime, we are continuing with all other COVID safe measures and look forward to having you in the clinic to continue your treatment.
