With over 20 years of clinical experience across Ireland and Australia, Gemma has a particular interest in helping people with headaches, neck pain, and persistent pain conditions.

Having worked across hospitals, private practice, correctional services, and elite sport, she understands that every person’s experience is unique. She takes the time to listen, understand what is important to each individual, and develop a treatment approach that fits their needs and goals. Whether through hands-on therapy, exercise, education, or a combination of approaches, she works alongside her patients to help them move with confidence, better understand their condition, and make meaningful progress.

Alongside her clinical work, she lectures within the Physiotherapy program at the University of Notre Dame Australia, where she coordinates the spinal musculoskeletal units. Her involvement in teaching and research helps her bring the latest evidence into practice while keeping care practical, individualised, and focused on the person in front of her.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland, a Bachelor of Science in Sports Science from Coventry University, a Master of Clinical Physiotherapy from Curtin University, and a PhD in Chronic and Complex Pain. Her doctoral research explored the role of the nervous system in persistent musculoskeletal pain and has contributed to several peer-reviewed publications in the field.

She is currently undertaking the Watson Headache® Institute Level 1 Foundation Course and has completed postgraduate training in Pilates-based rehabilitation and dry needling. She enjoys combining hands-on treatment, exercise, and education to help people achieve their goals and get back to the activities that matter most to them.
