Nicolette Visser

Nicci Visser is a highly experienced physiotherapist who graduated from Wits University in South Africa in 2000. She went on to complete her Postgraduate Certification in Orthopaedic Manipulative (Manual) Therapy (OMT) in 2005, a program that strengthened her advanced manual therapy skills, particularly for headaches, migraines, the neck, and thoracic spine.

Over her 20+ year career, Nicci has developed a strong focus on the treatment of headache, migraine, neck pain, temporomandibular disorders (TMD), and orofacial pain conditions. She has worked in both private hospital settings and private sports practices, where she gained a broad experience treating acute sports injuries as well as chronic pain conditions. Nicci went on to open and run her own private practice in South Africa for 14 years. During this time she worked closely with dentists and maxillofacial surgeons to help patients with jaw (TMJ) and headache conditions.

In 2022 she immigrated to Australia and stepped into a role as a Senior Physiotherapist at a private practice in the Northern suburbs of Brisbane, before joining the Headache, Neck and Jaw clinic.

Nicci is also an advanced dry needling practitioner (Levels 1–3) and has assisted in teaching and mentoring physiotherapists in safe, effective dry needling techniques. She has completed extensive professional development in the management of the cervical spine, thoracic spine, shoulder, chronic pain and introductory vestibular coursework.

Her treatment approach blends skilled manual therapy, exercise rehabilitation, patient education, and open communication, ensuring every patient feels supported and empowered. She brings warmth and compassion to her work, valuing the long- term relationships built with her patients and creating lasting results. Nicci will also be completing her Watson Headache® Institute Level 1 Foundation Course in November.
