Ryan’s interest in Physiotherapy began after recovering from a few too many knee injuries playing sport as a youngster. This was the catalyst to Ryan graduating with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from The Australian Catholic University. Ryan’s first few years of clinical practice were working within the private practice setting, exposed to various sporting injuries as well as chronic pain and headache. Unable to split his two interests, Ryan’s passion for headache and migraine led him to join our team at The Headache, Neck & Jaw Clinic, whilst also currently completing his Masters in Sports Physiotherapy.

With a commitment to ongoing education, Ryan has undertaken courses locally and nationally in efforts to discover the most effective methods to manage and improve pain. Ryan has completed his Watson Headache Institute Level 1 Foundation and Level 2 Consolidation Courses. He has also attended and taught Trigger Point Dry Needling courses from the Global Education of Manual Therapists’ group.

Ryan understands the impacts head pain has on all areas of life having had personal experience with migraine and, believes finding the cause of a person’s pain the key to success in maximising patient outcomes. Outside of work you’ll find Ryan on the cricket field, supporting his beloved Brisbane Lions, or trying to solve escape rooms.
